Police release CCTV image of till snatch suspect

POLICE investigating a till snatch at a garage in the Mitton area of Tewkesbury have released a CCTV image of the man suspected to be responsible.
The incident took place at around 8pm Sunday when a man went into the garage, which is on the B4080 Bredon Road, to buy some cigarette papers.
As he was paying he reached over the counter and snatched some notes from the till, before running off into Carrant Road and making off in a dark coloured Peugeot.
The man is described as being white, around six foot tall, of slim build and aged between 30 and 39. He was wearing a black thigh length jacket and dark trousers.
Anyone who witnessed this incident or who knows the identity of the man in the CCTV image is asked to ring police on 101 quoting incident number 359 of January 22. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
